Elephant, turtle and lion meet dinosaurs from the Mesozoic period.

Hans Rotman, artistic director of Impuls Festival explains relations between the musical suite Animal Carneval, Camille Saint-Saëns (1886), and Jurassic Trip, Guillaume Conneson (1998), as well as the musical portraits of the animals. The intertitles in Animal Carneval question in an ironic manner who stands at which side of the compound fence.

The Philharmonisches Kammerorchester Wernigerode will perform the concert being conducted by Phillip Barczewski.
